The tenth Voice

The Tenth Voice is an artist duo consisting of pianist Monica Tomescu-Rohde
and mezzo-soprano Siv Iren Misund. Together, they explore music's ability
to carry what has long been unsaid - voices that have been ignored, forgotten or silenced in history. With a particular focus on the music of black composers
and women, the duo creates interdisciplinary productions that weave together the personal and the political, the sacred and the sensual.

The name refers to the “tenth voice” - the voice that is missing in
the public sphere, but which lives on in memory, music and resistance.
Through concerts, performances and stories, The Tenth Voice restores the connection between soul and expression, between history and the present.
